Hey, can someone explain what a "utility cryptocurrency" is? I keep hearing the term but dont really get how its different from other coins like Bitcoin or Ethereum.

Great question! Utility cryptocurrencies are tokens designed for specific functions within a platform or ecosystemlike paying for services, accessing features, or governing decisions. Unlike Bitcoin (which is more like digital gold), utility tokens have practical use cases. For example, Filecoin is used for decentralized storage, and LINK powers Chainlinks oracle network. I found this clear breakdown that dives deeper www.atamgo.com/what-is-a-utility-cryptocurrency/
It explains how they work, why they matter, and how to evaluate them. Super helpful if youre exploring crypto beyond just investing!
